Dr. R. Srinivasa Rao received B. Tech, M. E and PhD from SVU, IISc and JNTUH respectively and joined in this institute on 22-11-1999 as Assistant Professor and promoted as Associate professor and Professor in years 2009 and 2014. He has 20 years of experience in teaching and research in this college. His major research areas includes Power systems, High Voltage Engineering, Energy Systems and Application of Soft Computing Techniques to Power systems. Under his guidance 10 Ph.Ds are graduated and 5 Ph.D scholars are working. He has published more than 50 papers in reputed journal like IEEE, Science Direct, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Europian Transactions, Measurement and Control etc. He has completed one UGC project of worth 30 Lakhs in the area of Energy Systems. He is the best teacher in EEE department consecutively 8 times from 20004-11. He has organized national level workshops, symposiums and conferences for student and faculty. He is also involved in the consultancy works of the department in the area of High Voltage Testing. He worked as Hostel warden, Officer in charge of Hostels and Additional controller of examinations.
Roles and responsibilities of the directorate
- University Examination Center is one of the important wing in the University which extends different services to students, viz. scheduling the examinations, conduct of examinations, processing and publishing of results, maintenance of students marks records, printing and dispatch of certificates etc. University Examination Center also extends various services to autonomous and affiliating colleges.
- The role of and responsibility of Director of Evaluation is to look after all examination activities in the University Examination Center in coordination with CE and ACEs and see that the above services are reaching to the concerned.
