Dr. K. Venkata Reddy is having a total of 19 years of experience in teaching and research. He has 12 years of administrative experience and worked as Officer in-charge of Examinations, Training and Placement Officer, Additional Controller of Examinations, NSS Programme Coordinator and Controller of Examinations.
Dr. Reddy is a senior member of IEEE, Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and Indian Society for Technical Education. He is a recipient of “Best Researcher Award” from JNTUK in 2018 and the “Young Engineers Award 2013” from the Institution of Engineers (India) in 2013. He has also received “Tata Rao Prize” from the Institution of Engineers (India) in 2012.
Dr. Reddy has visited France, Switzerland, USA and MALAYSIA on academic purposes. Dr. Reddy has successfully completed an R & D project sponsored by the AICTE, New Delhi on “Investigation and Implementation of Control Strategies for Switched Reluctance Motors” during 2010-12. Dr. Reddy has published 70 research papers in various international/national journals and conferences. He is editorial board member and reviewer of many international journals. He has guided 5 research scholars for their PhDs and currently guiding 8 research scholars for their PhD degrees. His research areas include the Special Electrical Machines, Electric Drives, Power Quality and FACTS.
